What is an approval?
Approvals only arise if the human translation option is enabled.
If a reporter chooses a language (ex. Dutch), but writes in a different language (ex. Chinese) that is not enabled for the Channel, then the translation agency may notice the mismatch. The agency can ask to change the reporter chosen language to the language that the reporter has written in (ex. in this case changing from Dutch to Chinese). By requesting the change, the system will send an email to the Administrator(s) user(s) with a request to approve the change for this specific message. There will be an entry on the approvals page and the Administrator(s) can either approve or decline. When approved, the language the reporter has chosen will change accordingly and the agency will proceed to translate the message to English. If declined, the reporter chosen language will remain as is and the message will not be translated. You will only have the original message.
In the case that the reporter chosen and written languages are both enabled, the translation agency may make the necessary changes and translate without an approval from the Administrator.
