What is a Domain?

A Domain is similar to a vault, a secure storage space where your Issues are organised and managed. It acts as a container for Issues, helping you keep track of and control access to them.

How Issues are added to a Domain:

  • Automatically, when Issues are routed through the Channel it's linked to, or from other Channels, based on the configured automation rules.

  • Manually, when a user moves Issues into the Domain.

Accessing a Domain:

  • Users who are granted access to a Domain can view and/or interact with the Issues stored within it, depending on their specific user role.
  • Users who don’t have access to the entire Domain can still be invited to view or interact with individual Issues within it. They will only have access to the invited Issue, not the full Domain.

Depending on your set up, you may lose or retain access to the Issue after moving that Issue to a different Domain. If you are part of the Domain the Issue has been moved to, you will retain access. Conversely, if you are not part of said Domain, you will lose access.
