How do I view a message in the original language the Reporter has written in?

To view a message in the original language:

  1. Go to “Issues” on the left hand menu and click into the relevant Issue

  2. Expand the “Messages” tab to show all the messages of that Issue

  3. Click on the checkbox for “Reporter language” to view the message in the original language the Reporter has written in; click on “Client default language” to view the message in English

To view a message in both languages (Reporter’s and English):

  1. Follow Step 1 and 2 from above; go to the relevant message

  2. Click on the vertical three dots icon found on the top-right corner of the message box

  3. Select “View messages side by side,” the messages will then be displayed in both the original language and the the English translation

If you allow reporting via multiple languages and have a Reporter intake form that requires a Reporter to respond to short text field, the response will go through translation. Within an Issue, above the section that says ‘Messages’, there will be a section called ‘Reporter intake form’. Here, you will able to select between the reporter language and client default language, to see both the original and translated response to the short text field.
