What are Case Management languages?
Case manager language options in SpeakUp Workspaces, allows Users to work in their own language.
Your Administrator can enable one or more language and each User can choose their preferred language. Workspaces will then appear in that language, including any names and labels your organisation has configured.
Available languages
Workspaces is available in English, Chinese Simplified, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish. English is always available. Languages cannot be removed once added.
What is translated?
- Case management screens: menus, buttons, labels, dialogs, analytics views and User settings are shown in the language you have chosen.
- Your organisation's configured terms: Issue types, Workflow statuses and transitions, screens, Domains, Channel display names, Groups and their descriptions, Roles and their descriptions, Fields, Option lists, Issue forms, Reporter intake forms, Campaign forms, Automations, Reply templates, Analytic views, charts and saved filters are translated automatically into every enabled language.
- Reporter messages: messages and text answers on the Reporter intake form are translated into your language, depending on the Channel's translation setting. The Reporter's original is always available to view.
- Replies to Reporters: the Reporter receives your reply in their own language, whichever language you wrote it in. Other Users can read your reply in their own Workspace language.
- Email notifications to Users: these arrive in each recipient's own language.
- Issue exports: an exported Issue uses the language of the User who exports it, with the Reporter's original text alongside.
- Chart downloads: charts downloaded as PNG or CSV use your language.
What is not translated
- Settings: Setting menu always stays in English for Administrators, whatever language they choose. This means terms are always set up and searched for in English.
- Text written by Users: the Description and Summary fields, free text fields in Issue forms and Issue fields, comments, document descriptions and additional information on Parties are shown in the language they were written in.
- Document names: names of uploaded documents are shown as uploaded.
- Human translations: translations delivered by a human translator stay in English.
- Terms of use: the text is shown as your organisation published it. The Terms of Use tab itself is translated.
- Channel URLs: these stay as configured.
- Downloads of overviews: the Issues overview download and the analytics Excel export stay in English.
- Emails to Administrators: these are always sent in English.
- Dates: dates are still shown in English format.
- Names stored on existing Issues: an Issue keeps the form name it had when the form was added, and Issue history keeps the name an Automation had when it ran.
Administrators can replace the automatic translation of your organisation's configured names with their own wording, or switch translations off so a name is the same in every language:
- Access: Channel display names, Domains, Groups and Roles, including Group and Role descriptions.
- Issue setup: Issue types, Workflow statuses and transitions, and screens.
- Components: Fields, Option lists, Issue forms, Reporter intake forms and Campaign forms.
- System: Automations and Reply templates.
- Analytics: analytic views, charts and saved filters.
Workspaces screens and Reporter messages are translated automatically and cannot be overridden.
When you reply to a Reporter, you can review and edit the translation of your own reply before sending it.
